I am currently teaching at ayer rajah rotary student care centre..and its my fifth day today(3/3/08). Its really stressing and tiring. I have to get up and be redi before 1. Then i have to take bus down to Pandan. And then i meet the lil devils! Luckily for me, one of my aunty is working there and i feel more comfortable working thr. I teach students from pri 1 to pri 6. Everyone has their weakness and their mischief. AS a teachr i have to control that bunch.My work starts at 2pm. So wheni reach there its already their lunch time and they would be eating..and after that they would have rest time and then nap time. Nap time is a killer for me. Some kids cant slp so they opt to do their school work, while some will want to sleep but they won. So i have to constantly remind them to at least lie dwn and not to disturb others. After Nap time, it would be tea time and after tt would be homework/Assessment time. That would be at 4pm. So the kids would do their work and u knw they cant sit dwn so i have to yell at them to do their work.. If they dun do their work then i would have to ban them frm playing indoor games at 5.30pm. So ya the routine goes on and on everyday.. The class im teaching is taken care of by two teachers. One is me and my aunty. So it is not as hard as it can be mananging the whole entire clan! I dun have personal favourites in the class but im already a fav teacher to some students :D Yipeee!!! So in this five days, i have introduced new punishments and new rules to the class. Just becos im just a relief teacher, it does not mean i cant do all these.. :P Hmm..anyway i've got work tmr soo im signing off now.. Have to get the kids chocolates :) See u guys soon |
